Weekly Photo Challenge : Shadow

This week’s photo challenge is one that I’m quite curious to undertake.   I’m always one to try to find colorful subjects and scenery that is bursting with light and airiness.   Shadows and depths are the types of components that I want to experiment and incorporate into my photography.

#fmsphotoaday Day 1: Sky

The sky over the Philippine Sea.

I couldn’t help but want to try out the #fmsphotoaday challenge this year.   It’s by no means a resolution of mine.  (I didn’t make any resolutions this year.)

So, I’m kicking off the first day of 2015 with a breathtaking view of the sky and the ocean.  Both of them having gorgeous hues of blues and being filled with movement.

Anyone trying out the #fmsphotoaday challenge?  Please let me know.  It’d be great to share and see pictures coming from this challenge

Weekly Photo Challenge: Warmth

I don’t think I will ever get over how beautiful sunsets are here on Guam.  For me, scenes like this have a way of reminding me more about the good things that happened during the day.  And if my day wasn’t so well, sunsets also console me with the prospect of another day.  So even if the sun wanes and the temperatures drop,  sunsets carry it’s own warmth and renewal.

The beauty of flora

One of the things that I enjoy the most about living on Guam is the flora. They can be found nearly everywhere on the island and color their surroundings.  Be it bright red, orange, purple or white, Guam’s flowers are always a sight to behold.

Whenever I see my orchids or any other tropical flowers, I literally find myself stopping what I was doing and enjoying their beauty and scents.
